Thirty One Days of Blogging - Day 20
Continuing the Kansas City Connections from yesterday, I discussed my website with Diana Alt several months ago. She said she knew a few people who had website design businesses. She said her preference would be this person who was married to her cousin. She said she couldn’t pronounce his name (neither can I), but he went by Biaka. In about one week, I had traded emails with him and decided I had found my designer. It was only a few days later that we had a virtual call. You could tell on that first call that we were a match. Biaka and Avery were so excited that I thought they were going to jump through the computer screen.
A few days later, the idea of “The Optimistic BA” was born. I challenged them to a short timetable as I wanted to announce this on August 13th. I was doing a webinar for IIBA that day detailing my career journey. It would be unusual to introduce the rebranding on my webinar. I enlisted one of my IIBA colleagues' help, and I surprised two of them on that day. My website wasn’t complete, but enough of it was to reveal how I would be known as “The Optimistic BA.”
Fast forward a few months, and all of you have witnessed the results. All of Biaka Works feels like a new family. Biaka and Avery have become good friends. Avery is the person behind the Judymoji’s and more. They have added to their team in recent months, and no, it isn’t because I am hard to handle. They have helped to transform my business in a direction I could not have imagined. I can hardly wait to see the 2021 plan. If you need to hire a website designer, consider Biaka Works. There is no one else that I would trust with my company's website. Tomorrow I will continue with people behind the scenes, but I will reveal the final Christmas Judymoji, my favorite one. Until tomorrow, make sure your glass is at least half full.
