October Update
Looking at the Optimistic view of life, it was indeed a silver lining that I am home this month & not traveling. I was able to attend the IIBA South Africa Summit, which is always a great event. My cellulitis returned, and my left ankle was more swollen than ever before. Part of my ankle swelling is probably due to my venous insufficiency from my past blood clots. Cellulitis is a finicky infection as it resists antibiotics. I am on my third one, so hopefully, this will be the one that is the charm.
Not to jinx me, but the swelling does appear to be better today, so we shall see. At least I am at home and not in the hospital. The open wounds on my leg look better but are still oozing. I won’t post any pictures as I am aware some people are squeamish about these things. I keep my foot elevated for a while, and then I work. I am fortunate to have a short commute without steps.
I will post another blog later in the week sharing what the Optimistic BA is up to for the rest of 2021 and headed into 2022. Tomorrow is an exciting day as I will be in a planning session with “my people.” That is the people from Biaka Works - Biaka, Sarah, Avery & Randon. They have all become like family to me, but they are very good at making my website and brand excellent. Until next time, keep your glass at least half full?
