Pivoting Like a True Pro

As a Business Analyst, I have to pivot on an almost daily basis. So far, I have had to pivot at most of the conferences I was scheduled to speak at. My October plans were to be traveling 23 days of the month. BBC is postponed to June 2022. PMBA canceled in-person events in Boston and Washington DC. PMBA has combined Boston/Washington DC into one virtual conference. I was fortunate enough to be selected to speak since fewer speakers are needed. I will be speaking on October 14th from 1:15 pm to 1:45 pm EDT. I am presenting my premiere presentation, “Bad Things Happen, The Ending Can Be Great.” In this presentation, I tell true-life stories about why I am always so happy overcoming difficult situations. I describe my system for doing so and share how you can try to do the same thing.

I believe things happen for a reason, and if these conferences had remained as is, I might not have been able to travel. The treatment for the cellulitis in my left leg is a bit more involved than even I thought. The full leg wraps to reduce the swelling, but there are a couple of new sores on my left leg that are oozing. More antibiotics before it gets bad, but I was hoping that would not happen. I am not defeated by any means, and as always, I remain Optimistic. Until next time, please keep your glass at least half full.
