Full Moon and April Fool’s

Last weekend started with a Full Moon, and that leads to a crazy week. For about two decades of my career, I worked with external customers. I knew that any phone after a full moon could bring most anything. I always warned my trainees that watch out for the full moon. One of them all these years later told me she thinks of me every time there is a full moon. I could be remembered for worse things.

My week was filled with two days of having multiple phone calls, text messages, and IM all at the same moment. I almost caught myself sending the incorrect reply to people. I also had to make many personal calls for following up on household things. I have just about finished up all the clean-up from the hackers. Calling customer service centers can always result in different types of adventures.

My encounters were mostly uneventful, but I am amazed at how much time is consumed. Some of these calls are related to the hacking. We don’t have our new checks yet, and of course, I had two bills that I usually mail the payments. Now that I know they will take payment by phone, they will never get a check again. I only order checks about every two years because I only write maybe 10 a year. My week didn’t have many meetings and virtual calls, so I wanted to work on slide decks and business things. I jinxed myself just by thinking that.

April Fools day was a much better day. I was on Vince Mirabelli’s “Analysts After Work” show. What made it better is my partner in crime, Danelkis Serra, was on the show with me. We played “Never Have I Ever,” with the audience asking questions via the chat. This show is always a great time and is totally unscripted. The first question is always what are you drinking. There were no signs of water or soda in sight.

People who know Danelkis and me are thinking that Vince was extra brave having the two of us on for this episode. It was a fun time, and we laughed a lot. You know how much I recommend laughing, and it does make you feel better. The only thing better is when I can make someone laugh, which is my daily goal. The Easter Judymojis will be ready later today, so that I will be posting them this weekend. Until next time, please keep your glass at least half full!
