Thirty One Days of Blogging - Day Eight

Right after I recovered from the mono, we went on another trip to Chicago. That trip went off without any issues. At this time, Terry was very excited about staying at all the Hyatts in a city. That only sounded good until I realized what packing every day or two involves. Terry does not travel light as he owns and takes far more clothes on a trip than I will ever have. We went to several other places, but as you can imagine, our honeymoon was spent staying at Hyatts. We went to San Francisco, Carmel, Monterey, Honolulu, and Maui. Our hotel rooms never cost a dime, and all the hotels knew Terry was an employee on a honeymoon. We got to stay in several suites, and they always gave us a bottle of wine and a fruit basket.

We made several trips to Reno and Lake Tahoe when I bowled Nationals in Reno for several years. Every three years was the trip to Reno we would drive as you could take food, soda, etc. We also took golf clubs and my bowling equipment, so no one wanted us on an airplane. You had to be a BA to plan any of our trips, but this one, we were usually gone for two weeks. Our Logistics to set up a trip: Dates I had to bowl, date dog sitter was available, dates both of us could be off work. We didn't stay at any Hyatts except in Lake Tahoe, which was a great resort. As I look back, it was like a Kanban project. The time spent in Lake Tahoe was priceless. Lake Tahoe is one of the most gorgeous places on earth!

I am not going on and on about our trips as we have been blessed to go to many fantastic places. Each one involved project preparation, but I didn't look at it like that until after I was a BA. There are two trips we definitely will take- Ireland, Scotland & England. We also want to drive up the east coast in the fall to see the leaves. It takes skill to be there to catch the leaves at that particular time. Today's blog is another one I started on early and finished late. Tomorrow I will address shiny objects.
