Thirty One Days of Blogging - Day 15

I know my blogs are getting closer and closer to the end of the day. I resume my career story in 2017, and that was the year we moved to SAFe. Having been through almost all the other frameworks, this one made the most sense to me. SAFe is ceremony heavy, but our management listened to our feedback and cut back some of the ceremonies. I was lucky as the first team I was on had been together for a while. We had started a large project right before moving to SAFe, so we knew what we were working on for the next year.

Our project was for one of the call centers, and it involved creating an internet tool for their call scripts, which were on obsolete software. This was another project with high visibility that was gratifying when we finished. To explain the significance, it was like moving the team from a 1980’s tool to 2018. Working with an external vendor involved a different approach, and like any project, a few hiccups to start. In late 2018, things would change. I will finish the story tomorrow as I need to get other things finished tonight. I made my deadline as it is still Tuesday. Until tomorrow, be sure to keep your glasses at least half full.
