Never Stop Dreaming
Day 8 of my 12 Days of Christmas blog starts now. In many of my presentations, I talk about being a lifelong learner. While I genuinely believe that, I also think you need to be a lifelong dreamer. Another thing I have always said is to laugh like you are six again. I feel that we should dream like we are six again. I know that I don’t take the time to dream long enough. I need to take my advice; I am optimistic. I am everything that I portray as the Optimistic BA.
I am dreaming of traveling the world someday. I know enough people in other countries that I should never lack a tour guide and the best restaurants. Becoming the Optimistic BA was one of my dreams, now I need to make it succeed. I have married the love of my life in Terry Alter. I have a college degree and several insurance industry designations. I am also a Certified Business Analysis Professional CBAP® which is the gold standard in the business analysis world.
I think some of us laugh a lot, and I believe we dream, but unlike a toddler, it is not a natural activity. I laugh every day and love to make people laugh. Dreaming is not always something I take time for as much as I should. I work way too much sometimes and probably not enough other times. I will probably always be a workaholic, but I think there are degrees of seriousness. I have a great inner circle that jolts me back into reality straightforwardly and bluntly as they only can do. I will share my newest dream; after the success of last week’s video, I could become a professional singer. Then again, that is not a great idea. The sounds you hear are me laughing until my sides hurt. Until next time, please keep your glasses at least half full!
