Tiny Health Update

This has been a week of very little medical information. I have been waiting for the results of the tests I had on June 17th. I found out that my Carotid Arteries are normal. I am waiting for the CT Scan results that will tell whether I can have a TAVR or not. In talking to my valve coordinator, she explained that their office would get them probably Monday (6-27) or Tuesday (6-28). I told her I would check the portal to read the results. She tells me those results won’t be sent to the portal.

I asked if she would call me or send me an email? We would not usually give you those results until your doctor’s appointment. I confirm she is talking about my doctor’s appointment on July 6th with the surgeon. On July 7th, we have a medical conference, and the TAVR is tentatively scheduled for July 12th. I ask, what if the CT scan says no TAVR? We may notify you next week because you will leave our care and work with the Thoracic Surgeon’s team.

All of my BA buddies are cringing at this point, and I am there with you. I am planning to create a new company to assist medical doctors in creating a journey map for their customers (patients) to have a view of the customer experience. It does not need to be fancy, just bullet points outlining what to expect and when. It would not have wish-washy language. I am sharing a joke that my friend Jen Battan sent me. How many anesthesiologists does it take to change a light bulb? 99,98,97…

My status can be best reported as a Boeing 747 plane circling while waiting to land. I am circling because I need to burn off-gas. To all of my BA buddies at BBC in Hollywood, FL this week have a great time. I may have an update next week, or I may not have one - LOL! Until next time, please keep your glass at least half-full!
